These terms cover the Kvali app. The websites kvalifood.com and kvalimad.dk are free to read and need no account.
The short version
Kvali is a meal planner. It is free. Use it sensibly, do not abuse it, and understand that a recipe is a suggestion — not dietary or medical advice.
Your account
You need an email address and a password. Keep the password to yourself; anyone with it can read and change your household’s plans. Tell us at maxm@mxm.dk if you think someone else has access.
One person, one account. Do not register on someone else’s behalf without asking them.
Your content
Recipes you write and photos you upload stay yours. We do not claim ownership and we will not publish them on the websites or show them to anyone outside your household. Sharing a recipe to your household is what makes it visible to the other members.
You are responsible for what you upload. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to, and nothing illegal or abusive. We can remove content that breaks this, and in bad cases close the account.
Our content
The recipes, articles and photos on kvalifood.com and kvalimad.dk are ours. Cook from them as much as you like — that is the point. Do not republish them wholesale as your own.
Food, allergies and your health
Read this bit properly.
Recipes, nutrition figures and dietary filters are best-effort information, not advice. Ingredient data comes from public food databases and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Nutrition values are estimates calculated from ingredients, not laboratory measurements.
Do not rely on Kvali’s dietary filters to keep you safe. If you have an allergy, an intolerance or a medical condition, check the actual ingredients yourself, every time. A filter can miss something. We would rather tell you that than let you assume otherwise.
Cook food properly. Follow normal food-safety practice for temperatures and storage regardless of what a recipe says.
Availability
Kvali runs on a single small server. We try to keep it up, but there is no uptime guarantee, no support commitment, and it can go down. Your meal plan, current week and shopping list are cached on your device and keep working offline.
We back the database up daily, but keep anything you would hate to lose somewhere else too.
Cost
Kvali is free. If that ever changes we will tell you first, and we will not retroactively charge for something you already used.
Ending it
Delete your account whenever you like, from the Household tab. No reason needed, no email to send.
We can suspend or close an account that abuses the service — spam, attacks, illegal content. Barring something serious, we will tell you why.
Liability
Kvali is provided as-is, with no warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using it — including a plan that went wrong, a shopping list that missed something, or data lost to a failure.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Law
Danish law applies, and Danish courts decide any dispute.
Changes
If these terms change we will update the date above and, for anything that actually affects you, say so in the app.
